Logistics is an important competitive facture, and the premise of high process quality standards is reflected in the area of logistics and storage. The range of Elsdorf’s logistical services includes supply, production, distribution and disposal.

The challenge

Every day, 500 to 700 pallets are on their way to our customers. The biggest challenges arise in the area of “ultra-fresh” products, with a shelf life of only a few days,  and some are created by our diversified customer portfolio, including domestic and international food retailers, wholesalers and customers in the catering and restaurant industry.

Dual logistics strategy

In order to be able to meet the market requirements of quality, flexibility and speed of the supply chain, our companies have been working with a dual logistics strategy, combining service-oriented in-house logistics and the use of reliable logistics partners. For specific logistical demands, our companies use more than 15 carriers. These partners are involved in deliveries and the area of warehousing and pre-commissioning. Another distinguishing feature of our companies' logistics are services in the field of  sorting and commissioning of mixed product ranges.
